WINE EDUCATION

OUR THREE STEPS TO WINE SAVVINESS

Wine is a large and detailed subject. We have developed an accessible approach to learning about wine. These steps can give you as much or as little information as you desire. At Comptoir, we really just want more people to enjoy wine, and enjoyment of wine is increased through understanding.

'Small Steps' happen each Thursday night in the shop. Just pop into Comptoir and we will talk about some of the principles of tasting and share a classic example or two of a noble variety. This 'Step' will show you how to begin to assess and talk about wine.

All of the 'Steps' share the same approach to tasting wine, whilst it is beneficial to start with one or two Small Steps, you are very welcome to join at any stage.
